Super Knocked Up Gets Geekie And Goes To Comic Con

Super Knocked Up Gets Geekie And Goes To Comic Con
By: Jay

OK stop me if you've heard this one: A girl wakes up in a strange bed next to a man she normally can not stand, and a few weeks later they find out she is pregnant. Sounds like the plot to a RomCom, right? Well, now add in super powers and make the girl the most feared super-villain and the guy the premiere superhero in the universe, and you have Super Knocked Up. A totally original and funny web series that is created, written and produced by Jeff Burns, stars Jourdan Gibson as the beautiful and deadly super-villain Darkstar and Mark Pezzula as the handsome and narcissistic superhero Captain Amazing.

Red Hood and the Outlaws issue 21

I am a big fan of Red Hood and the Outlaws and I am aware that RHOL still has a large fan base. So, I am inclined to be magnanimous this time and give a spoiler free review. So with out spoilers this book isn’t all that great, in fact it really doesn’t work. Once again Jason has nothing to do in his own book, aside from being completely useless. He is even taken hostage by the League of Assassins while Korri and Roy run around trying to find him/figure out what’s going on.

Man of Steel Review and Analysis

Man of Steel Review and Analysis
By: Jay

I’m a HUGE Superman fan. I have been all my life. My family and friends joke and call me Clark Kent, Superman, etc. I have even been called Clark, Mr. Kent and C.K. at work. So when news of a new Superman movie was being made I was, well Super excited. Especially when it was a reboot, so we would be getting a new origin instead of a fanboy film like Superman Returns. I saw this movie a few times, because I wanted to really get the movie on a level beyond the major Superman Fan viewpoint. This isn’t a casual review. This is going to delve into my thoughts on the movie, on the characters and I will be detailing things as if the reader has already seen the movie, so if you haven’t seen it, and do not wish to be MAJORLY SPOILED, please do NOT read past the Spoiler Warning image.

In Brightest Day In Blackest Night A Green Lantern Retrospective

I wanted to review Green Lantern #20, but I couldn’t write it without either spoiling the issue, or going over Johns’ whole run on the book. So I figured with the issue being out for almost three weeks now, whatever I mention here is not really a spoiler (unless you live under a rock), and I get the chance to look at his run as a whole.

Action Comics #21 Review

Action Comics #21 Review
By: Jay

Tony S. Daniel is back with the last part of the Andy Diggle plotted/Daniel scripted “Hybrid” story arc. As everyone knows by now, Diggle and Daniel were supposed to be the post-Morrison Action Comics creative team. But before their first issue hit stores, Diggle left under unknown circumstances, leaving Daniel on the book as artist and writer using Diggle’s plot as a template. After this issue Daniel leaves Action Comics and we may never know what their run would truly have been like.
