NYCC 2016: Iron Fist Trailer & Sigourney Weaver As The Villain In The Defenders!

At the Marvel Netflix Iron Fist Panel today at New York Comic Con Marvel unveiled the first Iron Fist trailer. Spoke with the cast. Announced that the Punisher is currently filming.  They also announced some guest appearances from the Marvel Netflix  series will be popping up in Iron Fist But the biggest news was the reveal of the villain for The Defenders!

Marvel has been promising that like their cinematic universe, their Netflix shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist) would all lead to the formation of a new team The Defenders. No word on when we can expect The Defenders to hit Netflix, with Daredevil Season 3, Jessica Jones Season 2, and The Punisher Season 1 all being announced, and Marvel and Netflix currently running two series a year. The Punisher Season 1 is filming right now and Karen Paige will appear in it. The cast of The Defenders appeared on the stage including Sigourney Weaver as the show's villain.

Next is a teaser for Iron Fist that gives us glimpses of Danny Rand's childhood, his arrival to the mystical city of K'un Lun, and the first look at him using the iron fist to punch through a wall.

Finally have the first teaser trailer for the next Marvel Netflix series Iron Fist. The trailer is action filled and shows the signature Marvel Netflix hallway fighting scenes as well as featuring Coleen Wing and even more action!

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

The fourth Marvel series on Netflix, following Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, Iron Fist  stars Finn Jones as Iron Fist and Six Feet Under veteran Scott Buck as the showrunner. Iron Fist also stars Jessica Henwick, David Wenham and Jessica Jones veteran Carrie-Anne Moss. Arriving March 17, 2017, Iron Fist is expected to be followed later that year by The Defenders crossover, which will bring together all four heroes.
