Michael Bay Has Found His Turtles

Michael Bay Has Found His Turtles
By: Jay

Michael Bay has found his turtles for his up coming Ninja Turtles movie, but unlike his casting of Megan Fox, Bay has decided to go with lesser known actors. News broke last week that Alan Ritchson (Smallville’s Aquaman and the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s Gloss) was the first actor to jump into the ooze as Raphael. Now three other actors have joined him. Pete Ploszek (Shameless, Parks and Recreation) will play Leonardo, Jeremy Howard (How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Sydney White) will bring Donatello to life, and rounding out the Turtles is Noel Fisher (Battle Los Angeles, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) as Michelangelo.

The original movies used costumes designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in London, and Jim Henson had said that costumes were the most advanced that he had ever worked with at that point. Bay’s Ninja Turtles will use motion-capture animation that according to Deadline should give us a “more sophisticated Avatar-like approach.” This technology will give the Turtles more personality and allow the emotions from the actors to come across on the screen in a more realistic way.

The latest Ninja Turtles movie has been receiving a lot of attention from fans, not all good ever since Michael Bay referred to them as ”aliens”, and again when Fox was cast as April O’Neil.  Love it or hate it, the Ninja Turtles is set for a June 6, 2014 release, so  check back with ComicFrontline for more news on Ninja Turtles as the role for the villain Shredder has yet to be cast. How do you feel about the casting so far? And if you could cast any star in the role of the Shredder, who will it be? Make sure to let us know how you feel in the comments below.
