Superior Spider Man #25 Review

Jay Reyes

Superior Spider Man #25 was an amalgamation of fighting and story It was damn good and added to the downfall of Spock.

It’s all been leading to this! As the Superior Venom battles the Avengers – the Goblin King’s final pieces fall into place. And seeds sown here bear bitter fruit in the upcoming Goblin Nation arc! Not everyone will make it to issue #26. You cannot afford to miss the utterly shocking SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #25!

The Goods: Superior Spider-Man as a whole has been great. It’s rare to have every issue of a series be so good that you just have to read the next issue. The solicitation for this issue did not disappoint, The jig is up and the Avengers are onto Ock. Superior Spider-Man #25 was well paced, it didn’t even feel like the issue was extended because I just ate up every page. By the time I was done with the issue I had to reread it again because it was just so damn good.

I hate Humberto Ramos art! But his art feels almost organic when he’s drawing Superior. I prefer Ryan Stegman but Ramos makes Spock feel lanky and creepy looking, and he did not disappoint.

Spock Venom had to be the coolest story plot  that happened in this series yet. I really enjoyed how the Venom Symbiote responded to Spock, at first not really wanting him, than wanting him for power and freedom. But in the end the Venom Symbiote actually missed Flash Thompson, which turned out to be a feel good moment.

The Bad: There wasn’t very much bad in this issue, The one problem I had with this issue was Carlie Cooper, her being turned into a (Spoiler Alert.......) Goblin just seems to contrived and stupid. That whole scene was pointless and was just a convenient way to get rid of her for a bit.

Overall: Superior Spider-Man has been a really Fun ride and I’m really looking forward to next issue. Even though I love Peter Parker  I will be sad to see Spock go. Hopefully Doctor Octopus will survive to tell the tale of how he was Spider-Man for a couple of months.

How do you feel about Superior Spider-Man ending at issue 31 let me know how you feel about it in the comments below.
