SDCC: Penguins of Madagascar

If you were a fan of the penguins in the movie Madagascar or the Penguins of Madagascar television series you are going to get a kick out of this. DreamWorks Animation has announced their upcoming movie, Penguins of Madagascar coming out November 26. Michael Colton and John Aboud are working together to write the screenplay and will be directed by Simon J. Smith. Staring in this film are Tom McGath as the voice of Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico, John Malkovich as Dr. Octavius Brine aka Dave, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Agent Classified.

This film is not a follow-up to the Penguins of Madagascar television series but it does take place in the world of Madagascar. In a clip featured at San Diego Comic-Con, you see the penguins breaking into Fort Knox to steal a vending machine with the country’s last remaining Cheezy Dibbles, but it's not long before they are stopped by an Octopus tentacles. Dave used to live at the same zoo as the penguins and became angry and jealous that they were getting more attention than he was, leading him to become the evil Dr. Octavius Brine.

The next clip showed the penguins in a high-speed chase through the street of Venice, Italy being followed by Dave’s henchmen. They were rescued by a wolf that goes by the name "Classified". Agent Classified is the leader of an animal CIA called the North Wind. He recruits the penguins to help him take down Dr. Brine from taking over the world.

Can the penguins stop Dr. Octavius Brine or will he succeed? The suspense it eating away at me, I can’t wait to watch this movie.
