In Early 2015 Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC will go on a Winter Hiatus as most shows do leaving an opening for a Mid-Season replacement. Usually this spot is filled with a show that either the network thought was an ok show, but not worthy of a prime fall time slot, or a show that they want to test out and see if it will take off. This year that show is Marvel's Agent Carter!
Hayley Atwell played the role of Agent Peggy Carter in the Captain America movies and will be reprising her role in the series that bares her character's name. But things are different for Peggy. The series takes place in 1946 and the war is over, the men are flying back home and she finds her role being minimized in a time when men and women aren't treated as equals so much when the men are home. Peggy joins the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) in New York where she works with Howard Stark and goes on secret missions. Today Marvel has announced the casting of two main stars for the series.
