Breaking News: Marvel Announces Phase 3 Movies And Beyond

Today Marvel made a big announcement for Marvel Studios at the Disney Owned El Capitan Theater in Hollywood that was open to press and some lucky fans. There was no information on what this mysterious event would detail prior to it taking place which left many curious about what they could be doing.
Marvel has been making news everywhere lately with their Summer 2015 Event Teasers, the official release of the Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer, then yesterday’s announcement that Benedict Cumberbatch was in talks to play the title role in the Doctor Strange movie.

So no one knew for sure what Marvel would be announcing at this event, but given the companies tremendous presence in Comics, TV, and movies this past year and the world domination of all things Super Heroes, people tend to take notice when the House of Ideas decide to hold an event of any sort.

The event started with the customary El Capitan’s organ concert with an elaborate curtain rise ushering in the event. The event itself started out with the familar Marvel Studios opening sequence, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige who was met with a warm reception.  Feige then introduced the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer, which was leaked online before it’s scheduled premiere tonight during Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.
"I want to start with something you've already seen, thanks to the fine people of Hydra.”
 – Kevin Feige

After the trailer Feige announced and pointed out that the Avengers: Age of Ultron writer/director Joss Whedon was in the audience, which the audience was very happy to hear. Feige went on to say that Guardians of Galaxy marked 10th Marvel Studios movie. He went on to say that it was also the highest grossing domestic movie of 2014 to-date, a feat that “blows his mind”
"What James Gunn did with that movie exceeded all of our expectations."
– Kevin Feige

Feige then began to talk about Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"Let's talk about Phase Three."
– Kevin Feige

He briefly talked about the upcoming release of Ant-Man, which is set for July 17, 2015. But also said he wasn't there to tell everyone things they already knew..

"I think I've been talking about Doctor Strange since the day I was born. Because I love it, because it's very important to us, and because it takes us a while to work on these movies.”
– Kevin Feige
"Chris Hemsworth is returning as Thor, of course Tom HIddleston returning as Loki. This is a very important movie for us in the Phase Three timeline."
 – Kevin Feige
"T'Challa himself, and all of Wakanda -- is coming to theaters. We have already started seeding things in the films leading up to this moment."
– Kevin Feige
"I want to make it very clear that this Captain Marvel's name is Carol Danvers."
 – Kevin Feige
"I'm blessed to be a part of this Marvel Universe, to work with you both and to make magic together."
– Chadwick Boseman
