Every week Kat and I do the Media ((((Madness)))) Vidcast, and we are always asked about music, but music if very genre specific, except Christmas music! So I thought I would do an article a day, for 12 days on some of my favorite Christmas songs, but it didn't seem enough, so I thought I would go full Media ((((Madness)))) on it and explore some of my favorite Christmas Songs, Movies, TV Episodes, and Animated Specials! Each day from now until Christmas I will be sharing some of my favorites, some will be fun, some will be classic, and some days will be sentimental. Also keep an eye out for Chibi Jay, and enjoy The 12 Days Of Media Mad-Mas: 3rd Day - What We Have Here Is A Chrismukkah Miracle!
For the 3rd Day of Media Mad-Mas I wanted to show that this isn't just for Christmas. Not everyone celebrates Christmas, and to show the melting pot of America some how some families are multi-faith families. I am dedicating the 3rd Day of Media Mad-Mas to those families like Mike Spider-Slayer's. So in honor of his family, those like it, and to honor the 1st night of Chanukah (which starts this evening) my selections cover both. To paraphrase Seth Cohen from The O.C. "Because on this site you don't have to choose. Allow me to introduce you to a little something that I like to call Chrismukkah." I was lucky enough to be able to post the full Movie, TV Episode and the Animated Special for today so everyone can fully get my love for them. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do!
Jingle Bell Rock – Bobby Helms
I mentioned before how I tend to go with the traditional, or original versions of the songs, well this one I am torn on. I love both Bobby Helms and Brenda Lee's versions and both are classic but I chose Bobby Helms because it was that first exposure to the song. I picked this song today because it isn't about any one holiday but the season itself and the fun it inspires. Also since this is my Chrismukkah choice I am doubling up on it and adding what might be one of the funniest scenes in a movie that includes this song, and I think you can guess what that is.

The O.C. – Season 1 – Episode 13 – The Best Chrismukkah Ever
This is an episode that I loved the very first time I saw it. I mean how could you not? It continues the main plots of the show, so it isn't one of those episodes that suspend everything to have a Christmas special, or put things on hold for the holidays, it makes some big moments that impact the characters. But who cares about all of that when you have a hot girl who draws you a comic and another hot girl who secretly dresses up as Wonder Woman for you for Christmas, lasso included! No wonder this was called The Best Chrismukkah Ever, because for Seth Cohen the uber geek, this uber holiday delivered!
Rugrats – Season 4 – Episode 1 – Chanukah
This time of year is beyond toys and presents which parents try to pass onto their children but the true meaning for both Christian and Jewish parents. This episode really does a great job teaching the true meaning of Chanukah that young kids can get without going over their heads or being preachy. But don't let the title of this episode keep you from watching it if you are not Jewish, no matter what faith you are, or which holiday you celebrate this is a great fun seasonal episode that I still enjoy watching.
