SDCC 2015: Dark Horse Continues The Legend Of Korra

Dark Horse Comics announced at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2015 that they will be doing a Legend of Korra comic series! There is very little known about the series at this time but we were given a promotional art that shows Korra and Asami emerging from the Spirit World. This image has fans of the series very excited in hopes that it indicates the series will focus at least in part on the much shipped KorraSami relationship. The creators have previously confirmed that the two are a couple and with this series being written by Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino it is safe to assume that the series will be in canon.

There is little known about the series at this time outside of fan speculation. I have only recently started watching Avatar: The Last Airbender so I am not as familiar with this world as my Media Madness cohort and partner in crime Kat, Comic Uno is so check out her speculations below, stay tuned to Comic Frontline as we will continue to bring any and all news on this series as they are released.

A follow-up series to beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender, the critically acclaimed The Legend Korra ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon with the final season airing on their site. The series centered on the new Avatar, the master of all four elements -- Water, Earth, Fire, Air -- and her journey to protect and bring balance to the world. The series addressed issues of identity, power, corruption and more and received countless praise for its mature themes and deeply developed characters and story.
