Back in September Detective Comics #940 gave Tim Drake, Red Robin a dramatic exit as he was seen sacrificing himself to save Gotham City and its citizens. But the reader discovered that he wasn't dead, but instead was "taken off the board" by the enigmatic Mr. Oz. Since then I have been theorizing that Tim could return along with his best friends Superboy (Conner Kent), Kid Flash (Bart Allen), and Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark) to reform Young Justice. Lately it seems to be more likely that this could happen.
Since Detective Comics #940 we seen Tim trying to escape and recent solicitations for Detective Comics since have indicated that Tim isn't the only one that Mr. Oz has taken off the board. The solicitations don't say who has been taken off the board by Mr. Oz, but there are a few of Tim's Young Justice teammates that haven't been seen, if we ever actually seen them at all in the New 52. Given what we know now Superboy, Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl could have just been new manifestations of the heroes we thought we knew which would explain a lot of the differences in their personalities.
SUPERBOY
Superboy was a genetic clone of Jon Lane Kent, a possible future son of Superman and Lois Lane created by Harvest and N.O.W.H.E.R.E. Harvest came from the future and wanted revenge on Metahumans because he blamed them for the death of his son. Superboy joined up with Red Robin, Wonder Girl and Kid Flash in the Teen Titans, but was last seen "going home" with Harvest in Teen Titans Vol. 5 #12.
KID FLASH
Bart Allen was never actually seen in the New 52, or at least we were told. The Bart Allen that we thought was Kid Flash was really a criminal from the future named Bar Torr. While with the Teen Titans he met and fell in love with Solstice who when the team were transported to the future with Bar Torr for his trial killed a judge so she will be arrested too. Bar Torr returns to the past to prove Superboy is innocent then returns to the future for Solstice. Bart Allen (the real one) is immune to alterations in the time stream, so he would have known a difference in the Post-Flashpoint timeline.
WONDER GIRL
Cassie is also a bit different in the new 52, her father isn't Zeus but the Demi-God Lennox. Cassie started off as a thief and possesses no powers, but does wield the Silent Armor, a liquid metal that can cover her and was designed to battle Trigon. Cassie was last seen in Teen Titans Vol. 5 #24 after her and the other Teen Titans disbanded in the wake of Tim's apparent death in Detective Comics #940.
Tim was believed to have died back in September 2016, two months later in November DC announced that Young Justice Season 3 was in production, More recently we learned that Young Justice & the live action Titans will air on the unnamed DC Digital Service. Young Justice: The Outiders is the title of the 3rd season which is believed to pick up with threads left from season two.
Why is the animated series relevant to the original comic? Well in season two we saw the introduction of Tim Drake as Robin, Cassie Sandsmark as Wonder Girl, and Bart Allen as Impulse (later Kid Flash), along side of Superboy and other young heroes. With the animated series returning and these four believed to be returning in it, it isn't a stretch that DC would resurrect their fan favorite comic series.
The DCU has changed since we last seen these characters, Superboy is now Jonathan Kent, Kid Flash is now new Wally West, and the Teen Titans are now being lead by the newest Robin, Damian Wayne. This would leave with them needing new names and returning to their original team name. But it can also bring back old faces and even some new identities for them to tie into the show, like Miss Martian could return, and Cissie King-Jones could return but as Artemis, bringing in more people from the animated series into the new comic. But that is all just hope and speculation here is what we do know:

The reason why I decided to write this is because of the solicitation for DETECTIVE COMICS #967 because it says "It’s a race to save the future of Tim and his team as Red Robin tries to escape his prison outside of time and find his way back to Earth." Tim's team that implies more than just one fellow captive. What do you think? Is DC prepping Young Justice for a Rebirth? Would you buy i they do?
