SDCC 2018: Geoff Johns To Write SHAZAM! Series In November!

Geoff Johns didn't let the fans settle down after STARGIRL DC Universe Series at his Spotlight panel today at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2018, when he revealed he will return to SHAZAM! with an ongoing comic book series, reuniting with artist Dale Eaglesham. SHAZAM #1 will debut on November 21, the same Wednesday before Thanksgiving that Johns debuted DOOMSDAY CLOCK #1 in 2017.

Johns isn't new to the character, he previously wrote a SHAZAM! back-up serial drawn by Gary Frank, which appeared during his Justice League run in the New 52. Johns also wrote the character Pre-Flashpoint in JSA a series where he and Eaglesham previously collaborated on and where Billy Batson dated Stargirl.
