Favorite Panel of 2018 - Week 28 August 15, 2018: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #30 - POWER RANGERS
Fan Panel Pick From Last Week - Heroes In Crisis #4 - There…and There
KAT
Honorable Mention - Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 - Cuddling
I love the highlight on both MJ and Peter wearing the Spider costumes.
5. Captain Marvel #1 - Who is Captain Marvel?
Carol is so many things, and that's what makes Captain Marvel so great.
4. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #4 - I Don’t Remember My Mother
Gwen never talks about her mother. I hope this is not the last mention of her.
3. Young Justice #1 - I’m Not Doing What I’m Suppose To
I hope this means that we will be getting some old Cassie sooner than later.
2. Young Justice #1 - You Asked For It
Hell yeah!
1. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #4 - Death Loves Gwen Stacy
This was the thesis statement for this perfectly angsty issue of Spider-Gwen.
BRANT
5. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 - Go Limp!
Love the inner monologue here as Spidey realizes how dumb his directions were.
4. X-23 #8 - KACHOW! / Spoken Sound Effect
Not as many Gabby moments lately, but this was definitely one. Spoken Sound Effect! Love it!
Love Hazmat here and the beautiful introduction. And the fact that Carol is taking someone under her wing again.
2. The Wrong Earth #5 - Shall We Partner Up?
Man, the way Dragonfly Man presents the Stinger costume to this thug he rescued is just all kinds of creepy!
CHRIS
5. The Dreaming #5 - Forgive Me
Sandman!
4. Birthright #35 - Heal My Brother!
Mikey uses magic!
3. Young Justice #1 - Young Justice Is Back!
Young Justice is back!
2. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 - A Lump...
Aunt May has cancer?!
1. Young Justice #1 - The Important Question!
Conner's Back!
JAY
5. X-23 #8 - Spoken Sound Effect / KACHOW!
I will say it again, I LOVE GABBY! She is panel gold! But the pure awesomeness of this panel isn't just Gabby or what she says, but also the way the panel is framed as well, it lends such dynamic energy to it that feels so Gabby.
4. Adventures Of The Super Sons #6 - Job Description...
I just love this relationship, only good friends can say and do the things these two do.
3. Adventures Of The Super Sons #6 - Came In Like A Wrecking Ball...
This just had me cracking up. John saying the names of the Beatles, singing Wrecking Ball, Gumby and then SHAZAM! just pure awesome fun that had me cracking up!
2. Young Justice #1 - Young Justice Is Back!
YES! TODAY IS THE DAY! Young Justice is back! I have been saying DC was going to bring them back and bring back the core four (Superboy, Robin, Impulse/Kid Flash, and Wonder Girl) for this reunion and they did. The only thing that would have made this moment better would have been if Conner was there for the rally call.
Such hard honesty and emotions in this that I had to include the whole page. The scene and emotions are so visceral that you get a lump in your throat just reading it. If you ever had someone you love deal with cancer you know how honest and raw this scene is.
MIKE SPIDER-SLAYER
5. Murder Falcon #4 - Plot Twist
In this scene, you find out that Jake has been the one battling cancer and not his wife. That was a huge plot twist, and now you know why Jake pushed everyone away.
4. Young Justice #1 - You Asked For It
The return of Wonder Girl, 'Nuff said!!
3. X-23 #8 - Emotional Attachment
2. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #4 - Slap!
This entire issue I felt so bad for Gwen as she is the bearer of bad news for the loss of all the other spiders, to get a slapped in the face by Aunt May was so heartbreaking.
1. Captain Marvel #1 - Carol's In Charge
Carol Danvers in charge, I love it!! I can't wait to see where this series goes with her and Hazmat's relationship.
