DC Entertainment has been taking bold steps towards throwing their hat in the Superhero Movie ring against Marvel, Sony, and FOX with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. With recently announcing the addition of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman and slowly revealing pics of the cast. Today USA Today released the first pic of Henry Cavill as Superman.
This picture follows the release of Cavill on set as Clark Kent that was released earlier this week. The Superman suit looks the same as the one used in Man of Steel, with the addition of the yellow/gold markings on the side that hints to the classic belt. While the Clark Kent pic is ok, the lack of glasses (hopefully he took them off between scenes) and the dark pallet doesn't have me liking it. Superman is supposed to be that beacon of light and hope especially in a move with The Dark Knight.
The title of this movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice makes this a precursor to the much anticipated and recently announced Justice League movie. But that isn't all Zack Snyder also explains why it is "V" and not "Vs":
"But suffice it to say there is a 'v' in between their names is a way to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way."

I am still personally torn with what I have seen so far. A lot of what is coming out has me on both sides of the fence. While Ben Afleck looks great as Batman, the Dark Knight Returns feel that I think the movie is going for doesn't appeal to me.

But I am still not sold on other cast members namely Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, the more I hear the more I worry about that casting and that role in the movie. But with any and all projects be it Comics, TV, or Movies you really never know until you see the final product, so I will hold my judgement until I see the movie.
Principle photography is now underway on the Zack Snyder-helmed movie starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie is due for release on May 6, 2016. The movie also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred in the sequel, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane rerising their roles from Man Of Steel,
