The 12 Days Of Media Mad-Mas: 10th Day - All I Want For Christmas....!

Every week Kat and I do the Media ((((Madness)))) Vidcast, and we are always asked about music, but music if very genre specific, except Christmas music! So I thought I would do an article a day, for 12 days on some of my favorite Christmas songs, but it didn't seem enough, so I thought I would go full Media  ((((Madness)))) on it and explore some of my favorite Christmas Songs, Movies, TV Episodes, and Animated Specials! Each day from now until Christmas I will be sharing some of my favorites, some will be fun, some will be classic, and some days will be sentimental. Also keep an eye out for Chibi Jay, and enjoy The 12 Days Of Media Mad-Mas: 10th Day - All I Want For Christmas....!

For the The 10th Day of Media Mad-Mas I wanted to some of my favorites, less hyped up selections. I hope you enjoy my picks today!

All I Want For Christmas Is You – Vince Vance And The Valiants
Bonus Song
All I Want For Christmas Is You – Mariah Carey

This song is one of my favorites, but is over shadowed by another song with the same name. A lot of people think that they are the same song, they are not, which is why (and I like both) I am posting them both. Some people even think this is a bad remake of the Mariah Carey song, which is also wrong since it came out first, and again a totally different song. I hope you enjoy both songs, both are really great but if pressed I go with Vince Vance And The Valiants, there is something about the slow groove to it that is a nice contrast to the more up-tempo traditional Christmas song. Which one do you prefer?

Three Days

This may be one of my favorite TV Christmas Movies ever. There are all the classic themes, commercialism, the all in it Christmas Spirit, magic, and a little divine intervention miraculous spiritual awakening. A guy who is consumed with himself, power, and money neglects his wife at Christmas time and almost has an affair which leads them to argue and to her death. As it all hits him he is given a chance to spend the last 3 days with her, because she died of a broken heart and didn't know how he really felt about her. He is then given the chance to save her life if within the 3 days leading up to her death he can give her one gift, which he has to figure out on his own. What is the gift? The movie stars Kristin Davis (Sex In The City), Reed Diamond (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) Time Meadows (Mean Girls). I talked about this movie on Media Madness a few times and raved about it, now I get to share it with you, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and perhaps make it a must see Christmas Movie for you as well!

7th Heaven – Season 11 – Episode 11 “Christmas!”

For the past few seasons, Eric has had a bad heart and has another attack, and this time it is fatal and his family doesn't know it. Annie and the family are home decorating their tree, everyone is worried about Eric since it isn't like him not being home yet, but Annie knows deep in her core he is ok, and will be home. Eric goes to heaven where he is met by his mother-in-law who passed away in the first season, and she is there to help him adjust to heaven and at the same time give his family what they need to live without him. During this "orientation" he meets people he has helped, but most he never knew, or even met because something he has done has effected the lives of their love ones in major ways. This episode really touches on the true essence of Christmas and of 7th Heaven. In the end, with all the things he has done and all the lives he has touched could Eric be given a reprieve? I love this episode, for me the finale season finale was less than, but this episode was their best Christmas episode of the series.

Yogi's First Christmas

This is a classic animated special. Yogi is always hibernating for Christmas, but this year Yogi and Boo Boo join Ranger Smith and the gang at the lodge and get to enjoy the magic of Christmas. I remember watching this when I was a kid, but it was hardly ever as a movie, they would divide it up into 4 episodes and spread out throughout the week.
