Top 5 Panels Of The Week - 4/17/19

Welcome Comic Frontline's Top 5 Panels! This is where the Frontline Six unite to pick their Top 5 comic panels from the week, and then you guys get to vote below which panel was your favorite. In next week's post, we will announce the winner from the poll.

Fan Panel Pick From Last Week - The Unstoppable Wasp #6 - Be Yourself

KAT

Honorable Mention - Spider-Man Life Story #2 - We’ll Always Be Friends

I love how this issue encompasses the complicated relationship between MJ, Gwen, and Peter, especially this scene.

5. West Coast Avengers #10 - Love Triangle

What a cool twist to a new love triangle, too bad we won't see it explored.

4. War of the Realms #2 - A Calling

Jane hearing her calling!

3. Spider-Man Life Story #2 - I Know

I love that MJ always knew Peter was Spider-Man even if they didn't have a romantic relationship with each other. This whole scene shows how powerful their connection is with each other.

2. Spider-Man Life Story #2 - I Have Nothing

What a heartbreaking scene between two broken people. Once again this is why MJ and Peter truly belong together.

1. War of the Realms #2 - All Mother of Asgard

This panel shows that Jane deserves that title. She is more worried about the war she left than the power just given to her.

BRANT

5. Naomi #4 - What's That?!

This symbol has had social media abuzz all week, I'm very curious to see what it actually is. Kind of looks like the White Lantern symbol, but it's slightly different. Not quite Black Lantern either. Most importantly, we're finally getting answers!

4.  Spider-Man: City At War #2 - I Aced It

Love the showcase of how smart Miles is here without even trying.

3. Batman #69 - You Don't Love Me

Man, hard revelation to hear, but this issue is the best of the dream sequences and kind of put a perfect cap on it with this scene.

2. West Coast Avengers #10 - Oddest of Couples

Sad to see this go, but love the sporadic theme song with Gwen and Jeff here!

1. Avengers: No Road Home #10 - House of Ideas

Beautiful scene the way it played out with Vision breathing to life the entire marvelous heroes of the MU.

JAY

Honorable Mention - Batman #69 - Not Him...

I love this scene with Bane seeing that Thomas Wayne may be Bruce's father, but he is not Bruce.

5. Avengers: No Road Home #10 - Hercules In Space...

The best part of Avengers: No Road Home was Hercules for me and to see that his journey doesn't end here is great for me, I have hope!

4. Buffy The Vampire Slayer #4 / Angel #0 - Perspective!

I love these panels so I had to include both of them here (Shut up it's a minor cheat. Don't judge me.) we get to see the same scene Xander's possible "Death" or "Turn" from his and Angel's perspective respectively.

3. Meet The Skrulls #3 - Am I A Skrull Now?

This moment is so powerful with Alice standing there scared, just killing a man who tried to kill her but is still just a little girl wanting her family to love her.

2. Batman #69 - I'm Batman!

I love how King too a line we all know and love from Batman the Animated Series, and put this dark twisted twist on it by having Thomas Wayne say it while fighting Bane and talking about his son.

1. Marvel's Spider-Man City At War #2 - Sorry For Your Loss...

This scene hits home. When you lose someone close to you like a father, everyone tries to comfort you and make your pain hurt less but it doesn't and Miles did something similar to what I did in his place, so this scene rings very true to me, and is very impactful.

MIKE SPIDER-SLAYER

Honorable Mention - West Coast Avengers #10 - The End

This series will be missed. Every time I read this book it put a smile on my face, If you read the letters page Kelly Thompson had some grand plans for this book and unfortunately it didn't make it. Hopefully one day we will see this team return. Remember comic book fans before picking up your second or third Superman or Spider-Man title try thinking outside the box and give a title like West Coast Avengers a chance. You never know you might be surprised. Thank you Kelly Thompson for putting out this wonderful series.

5. The Amazing Nightcrawler #3 - No Jamba Juice For You

This image is everything!! Amara threatening Nightcrawler, Boyd's hilarious. But he immediately fired back and said no Jamba Juice for you.

4. War of the Realms #2 - The Battlefield in the Sky

This strictly made my top five panels of the week due to the beautiful artwork. This is a scene that I could see in a Thor movie. Absolutely beautiful as all the Valkyries make their approach.

3. War of the Realms #2 - Valkyrie Down

I honestly didn’t see this coming as Valkyrie dies a horrible death.

2. Spider-Man Life Story #2 - A Clone!

Peter receives some bad news about Gwen in these panels that set the tone for the 80's.

1. Spider-Man Life Story #2 - The Death of Gwen Stacy...Again

Poor Peter, even in this universe he can't have his Gwen Stacy. I felt so bad for him in this panel.
