SDCC 2015 CBS May Be Facing A Crisis Of Infinite Supergirls

During an interview with Laura Vandervoort at Comic-Con International San Diego 2015 on Season 2 of her new SyFy series Bitten Entertainment Weekly reporter Lynette Rice asked the former Supergirl actress about the new CBS series. The actress gave hope that more than one former Supergirl may appear on the show.

“Hopefully I get to be a part of it at some point. Which is looking good. Maybe.”
- Laura Vandervoort

Vandervoort also talked about her time as Supergirl and talks of a possible spin-off back then. Vandervoort played Supergirl, a.k.a. Kara Zor-El, on CW’s Smallville from 2007-2011. This wouldn't be the first time two Supergirls shared the screen, Helen Slater the  actress that played Supergirl in the 1984 movie played Kara's aunt, Superman's mother Lara on Smallville. Earlier this year it was announced that Slater would be playing Melisa Benoist title characters foster mother in the new series. If Vandervoort does appear on the show it will bring 3 generations of live action Supergirls on one screen.

Melissa Benoist will take over the role in Supergirl, when Supergirl debuts Oct. 26 on CBS. Our very   own Kat Comic Uno was able see the pilot at Comic-Con International San Diego 2015 Preview Night check out the review in the links below.
“Hopefully, I get to meet her.”
