Kat's Pull List for 2/5/14
Check out what comics Kat will be getting this week. There are some All New Marvel Now titles coming out. Will Kat be getting them?
DC Comics
Detective Comics #28
This is a series that usually isn't on my pull list, but the Batman anniversary issue really surprised me in Detective Comics #27. I think Gothtopia can be a fun story arc for Detective Comics. I want to see it through.
Earth 2 #20
Earth 2 has really had a turn around with Tom Taylor on the series. The annual last week was actually my pick of the week. I can't wait to see where this series goes, especially now that we know the identity of the new Batman.
Forever Evil #5
This has been a pretty solid event for DC Comics. There are some interesting elements and mysteries that you want answers to. Looking forward to seeing Lex Luthor save the world.
Green Arrow #28
Green Arrow has an interesting story arc going on right now. I like that Oliver is going back to the island. This series has some similar themes with the TV show Arrow, but unique enough that it feels different.
Green Lantern/Red Lanterns #28
Recently the Green Lantern series has been going downhill. They don't have a direction to where the series is going. On the other hand I think Red Lanterns has been a pretty strong book. This is one of my most anticipated books for the week. It is unique to have these two series in one book this month. Also excited to see how Supergirl becomes a Red Lantern.
Vampire Diaries #2
As you guys may know I am a huge Vampire Dairies fan. I read the first issue of this series and I thought it was good enough to pick up the next issue. Looking forward to seeing some fun one shot stories that we usually don't get in the TV series.
Image Comics
Lazarus #6
This series is never in my Top 5, but I still enjoy the series enough to pick it up. Forever is an interesting character and I love the interactions that she has with her family. (Exclusive to Comic Uno Episode 34)
Sidekick #5
This is a pretty unique series with interesting characters. You want to see how Flyboy will fail next, and if he will ever find out that his hero is actually alive. (Exclusive to Comic Uno Episode 34)
Marvel
Black Widow #3
WOW this series only launched last month and we are already up to issue 3. But the double shipping should be ending soon.
I like this series. It is fun, and the narration is what really makes the series for me. But if it doesn't start a story arc soon I can see this series going downhill.
Ms. Marvel #1
This is one of my most anticipated books for the week. I have been excited to read this series since it was announced. It seems like something different and it is good to get some diverse Marvel heroes.
Superior Foes of Spider-man #8
This is a fun Marvel series, similar to Hawkeye. These characters mesh well together and I can't wait to see them grow as the C-list villains they are. (Exclusive to Comic Uno Episode 34)
Wolverine #1
I didn't like the previous Wolverine series, and I don't really agree with Marvel rebooting this series because there is a new creative team. But I do know a lot more people giving this issue one a try. So, I guess Marvel's marketing is working. I really hope this is better than the last Wolverine series.
Vertigo
Trillium #6
Trillium has been a surprise series for me. It is something different and unique. It is a sic-fi romance and it is the one series that I feel Lemire's art style fits. Only a couple of issues left until the conclusion. (Exclusive to Comic Uno Episode 34)
