Bravo's Weekly Anime Lineup #27

This week's screenshot is from Attack On Titan Season 2

Not much to review this week! Now most of the shows will be ending! I'm excited for Spring, but there are still a few more shows to wrap up! So make sure you're caught up, then click read more!

March 28th, Tuesday:

Onihei:

Monday is honestly the most boring day for anime. This one is no exception. It presented us with a somewhat interesting character, but dragged for an eternity. He in the end got the redemption he deserved which was nice but still. A very meh episode if you ask me. Next one will be the finale. Hopefully it'll go out with a bang at least.

Nobunaga No Shinobi:

The final episode of this, at least for now! It ended on a more peaceful note, no battles this time. It was also more serious and sweet in tone. I liked that, it was nice. I look forward to seeing where this party goes next! This really was a fun ride and I can't wait for more!

Overall I give this anime a 8/10. The art and animation was nice, the story was funny and easy to follow and I enjoyed the characters! It really was very good and the opening songs were very good! I do recommend checking it out, I personally liked it a lot! It was really funny and cute!

ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka:

This was the finale of this show. It was boring, everything was literally just talked and debated out. It was a peaceful ending! I should have suspected a boring ending for a very boring show, but I'm still dissapointed with this.

Overall I give ACCA a 5/10. The Art and Animation, were fine, the music was fine but the characters and plot? Weak. Incredibly weak! The show isn't necessarily bad but definitely not my cup of tea. It's much more talk heavy and political, if you ask me. Even as someone who likes anime with talking and such, but this way too much! I personally wouldn't recommend it at all. If you still want to check it out, I guess you can. Be prepared to be bored, though.

Hand Shakers:

The final episode! The final fight was great! Artistic wise, I loved these two Hand Shakers the most. They were really cool to watch and their powers were nice as well! I loved it, and the ending was very satisfying as well. As somewhat unrealistic as it is, I'm glad the Hand Shakers can remain friends. I wonder if we'll get a second season based on this. That new character looks interesting! I hope we get more.

People seem to dislike this show. I disagree and give it a 7/10! The animation and art, though it takes awhile to get used to is beautiful. The plot does have a few holes, but I still got enjoyment out of it anyway! The characters are also pretty interesting, but a bit awkward at times. That's why the show's score isn't higher. I recommend at least giving it a try, but it isn't for everyone!

Kemono Friends:

The final episode of this as well! It was so cute the way it ended! I'm glad they didn't leave each other. I would take another season of this! I loved when they all grouped together in the end! I love all these characters they are so adorable! This was a good finale!

I give this show a 7/10! I love this! It has pretty good animation and art! I love the character designs and the characters! The music was nice and fit the tone especially! The plot also moved along at a nice pace! It is very childish and cutesy but I liked it!  I recommend taking a look but whether you like it a lot or not, will depend on personal taste.

March 29th, Wednesday:

Akiba's Trip The Animation:

The finale! Honestly it was riddled with cliche's. The epic final battle, the villain redeeming herself and disappearing while the family she betrayed cries dramatically. Then of course their over it abruptly in the next scene. It was funny how that one government one got caught. It had an incredibly odd "WE MUST SAVE AKIBA FROM YOU GUYS IN THE FUTURE" another cliche but whatever. It's over I guess...

I give this show 6/10. I wanted to like it more then I did. The animation and art was fine, the characters were kind of silly and mediocre as well. The story itself was also repetitive and not super great and funny. I wouldn't watch it again, I don't really recommend it honestly. It's not very fun at all and it didn't do much for me. It could be kind of enjoyable but mostly it gave me a collective "meh" feeling.

Piace: Watashi no Italian:

The final episode of this was a flashback. Interesting move to make. I feel proud of myself because I knew what all the Italian words meant without looking. Those Italian lessons are finally paying off! It was odd though, but the blond is more deep then we thought. To be kind of expected though, and the whole lesson to it was nice. Really odd that they felt comfortable bathing together even though they barely met though. Ahhh anime. How very odd and slightly creepy you are!

I give this show a 7/10. It was another one of those short series but I liked it! The art and animation nice and the character' were cute. True they are basic, but in a charming simple way! I enjoyed this, it was a fun cute little show!

One Room:

The final episode. I have to admit, I love this song. It is really pretty and I will probably hunt it down, so I can listen to it over and over on Youtube. It was cute how she got her hope back, the writing was very sweet and I loved this episode. I think it was the best one of this series.

Overall I give this show a 7/10. I know that's a bit odd but hear me out! The art and animation is pretty. The girls we interact with are very cute and the music was nice as well! It was bit odd, but unlike a similar one Makura No Danshi, this one was more classy if you ask me. I didn't like the more fanservicy bits in this show, though. I recommend at least giving it a look...also a version of this with male character's is coming out...I look forward to it because I'm a dork of course.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon:

This episode was cute! It was actually more serious in tone for a bit! I like the way Tooru was before she softened! Such a badass dragon! I loved the whole drunk hang out thing. They were so funny and cute together. In general this was just a laid back cuter episode. I appreciated this a lot, it was a good episode! I enjoyed it!

ChäoS;Child:

The final episode. Honestly this whole show is a huge mindfuck. It was interesting the way it went. I didn't anticipate a lot of it, it was chaos but interesting. The ending annoyed me though. He can't just force the redheaded girl to leave after all she's done for him! What the heck was that!? I honestly hoped for so much better...

Again, I wanted to give this show a higher rating but couldn't! I give it a 7/10! It has nice art, music, and animation! The story and characters are confusing and don't have nearly as much depth as I hoped. The biggest flaw is the story for sure! It had me so confused by the final act! If you like mind fucks like I do, watch it you might like it somewhat, it does have enjoyable traits. You should at least try, but it's not for everyone for sure.

March 30th, Thursday:

Marginal#4: Kiss kara Tsukuru Big Bang:

Yet another pretty cliche ending. They had a performance to do that was big and important. Red head guy was running into trouble and it looked like he might not make it. In the end they all regroup and drop in epic and do their thing. Happy ending, the end! End of series!

Yet another 7/10. The, music, art, animation and characters were cute. The plot was kind of bland and at times weird. I wanted to see them do more! Uta No Prince Sama, at least in the earlier seasons handled this concept way better! It didn't drag for ages and was way more interesting! This was still worth watching though I got enjoyment out of it! If it seems your type definitely check it out!

All Out!!:

I'm surprised by the results. It was a great fight but in the end the team we were rooting for lost, with a vow they would beat them next time! They also leave the camp and the series kind of ends. It was nice, but the last episode was a bit bleaker then what I would have liked. Still it was nice!

Overall I give this show 7/10. It sucks I wanted to rate it higher but it winded up not having as much to offer at all! The art style takes while to get used to, and the character don't get to be fully fleshed out! It switches focus to often which is slightly annoying! I wanted to see more of Sumiaki and didn't get to! The plot and animation was nice though. If you feel like that wouldn't bother you, I would recommend taking a look! It is pretty nice!

Kuzu no Honkai:

The final episode! It ended on an oddly calm note with the school festival and everything. The characters went through interesting changes. I like how the redhead cut it short, though the main character's brother? He looked better with the glasses. The ending was interesting and I'm satisfied with how it all went!

Overall I give this an 8/10. It had nice animation and art, nice music an interesting story and characters and was just overall really awesome! I liked following it and it was an interesting look at love and romance and how it's perceived I guess? I don't know it was confusing but very interesting. I liked it and I recommend checking out out!

March 31st, Friday:

Youjo Senki:

That was an interesting conclusion! I knew in the end that Tanya would have issues with that guy! She overcame it pretty quickly! I liked the end where she made that speech. I laughed but was also terrified by it. The new girl seems almost like the opposite of Tanya she is interesting! If there is another season I'm interested to see what she does.

I give this show a 7/10. I know it was a huge hit but it was a bit too political for me to fall die hard in love with it. It also had an art style that took some getting used to. I still enjoyed it though the animation, music and plot were all nice! I recommend checking this out for sure! It was really cool! I enjoyed it!

Schoolgirl Strikers: Animation Channel:

The final episode of this. It was bizarrely relaxed even during the fighting bits it lacked suspense! I loved seeing everyone together fighting and such, but still! It all ended happily and nicely, the cat having so much to do with the happy conclusion took me off guard. It was an interesting finale but lacked the feelings and such, you know?

I give this show a 6/10. It had likable characters, but not as much depth as it should have. The plot was also very cliche riddled and the art and animation were good, but kind of plain. I might recommend this but I don't know, there are a few shows off of this concept that are better, I just can't think of titles. I wouldn't consider it a waste of time but I wanted more for what I got! It seemed like it would have more to offer then just this! Depending on your tastes at least take a look, for sure! I personally probably won't watch again, though!

April 1st, Saturday:

Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season:

I was so excited for this! If possible I'm even more hyped then before now that I've seen the first episode! It was a setup for what is to come! This sports thing with superhero's should be really cool! The thing I wonder is how he'll be participating without people figuring out he has All Might's powers. There are still people who don't know! I'm impressed by Ochaka. She's one of my favorite characters. She is so determined but so sweet and cute as well as amazing! I love her so much! This was a great episode and I'm so excited for more Boku No Hero Academia! It's just as awesome as always!

ClassicaLoid:

The final episode of this. I will admit the alien invasion thing is completely insane. I still love it though, and the two human character's going all musik was really nice! They look amazing in that outfit and them playing for the aliens was honestly really nice and enjoyable! The ending made me laugh really hard, I was sitting there feeling solemn at first but when they all returned I laughed pretty hard. It was a nice finale!

Overall I give this show a 9/10. That rating may surprise a lot of you but hear me out! The animation and art is nice, the plot moves along at a pace that is easy to keep up with. It isn't too slow or fast or jarring and the characters are funny and interesting! The music is also really done! The humor can be slightly immature and ridiculous sometimes, but I like it anyway! This was a great show that made me laugh a lot and I recommend checking it out. It's tragically underrated. I can't wait for season 2!

BanG Dream:

This episode was jarring. Watching the main character fall like this is really difficult and upsetting at least for me. She's such a positive spark for all the other characters! Now she's so shaken her singing won't even come out! The person who brought her down doesn't seem to care either which makes it even more angering. Obviously the drama will only be temporary but it angers me regardless. It was a good episode but still hard to watch if you feel for the main character.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2:

Oh my god finally. I've been waiting ages for this! I watched the entirety of Attack On Season 1 the day after the last episode aired. I was late to the party, true but oh my god it was amazing! I played the PS4 game and honestly spoiled myself a bit! I will keep those to myself for you anime exclusive watchers don't worry!

I am incredibly sad Miche died. I really liked him! My jaw completely DROPPED when the Beast Titan started talking. Even with what I know, I didn't expect it to speak! That wasn't in the game or anything like that! He's a sadistic guy as well! Then again to be expected. Everyone had good moments and Mikasa and Eren are cute as always!

Sengoku Choujuu Giga:

This episode was pretty funny! Naotora is always presented as being so fussy in whatever adaptation she's in! It was funny how they decided. Not nearly as funny as the last two episodes were though. It was pretty good but not the best this show has to offer. You can probably skip it if you wanted, but I got some enjoyment out of it!

April 2nd, Sunday:

Alice to Zouroku:

This was interesting! This show has a lot of Alice and Wonderland references. The twins are most likely supposed to be Tweedledee and Tweedledum. The lab is interesting, I wonder how dark this show will get. It's cute seeing this old man take care of Alice. Making the first episode long was a good choice as well! It gave us some time to get to know everyone! The way their powers manifest is really cool! I hope this winds up being a more serious series. I don't want it to be constantly fluffy and cute that'll bother me. So far I'm intrigued, though! Let's see how it goes!

April 3rd, Monday:

Little Witch Academia:

The second part of this saga! It moved a little slow to be honest which I didn't like. I love Akko when she transforms into an animal. She looks so cute! Them doing a flashy thing was nice. It's a turning point for Akko and everyone there for sure. She is doing something frowned upon, I'm not sure how everyone will react! Diana's reactions to what Akko does intrigues me the most. Part of me wonders if Diana has a crush on her or something. They seem like they could, who knows! I can't wait to see the fallout is like for the next episode! I wonder if she will be ostracized..?

Overall:

A pretty meh week at first, followed by complete and utter awesomeness! A lot of these finale's were kind of disappointing. The shows I love coming back are amazing as ever, though! My least favorites were Onihei, ACCA and My most favorites were Boku No Hero Academia, Attack on Titan and Classicaloid! Spring is off to an awesome start!

I bid you adieu until my next post!
