Welcome Comic Frontline's Top 5 Panels! This is where the Frontline Six unite to pick their Top 5 comic panels from the week, and then you guys get to vote below which panel was your favorite. In next week's post, we will announce the winner from the poll.
Fan Panel Pick From Last Week - Man And Superman 100-Page Super Spectacular #1 - Only One Question...
Honorable Mention - Runaways #18 - A Kiss at the End of War
I'm going to miss Kris Anka on this series. He really aced Karolina and Nico's relationship.
5. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #5 - You Went to Prison. On Purpose
Gwen realizes her life will never be the same. There are positives and negatives to everyone knowing she's Spider Woman. I laughed out loud with the prison part!
4. Ms. Marvel #38 - Secrets
I just love how these two pages show how much Zoe has grown as a character once she took off her armor, and was able to be open about her sexual identity. Zoe's character growth was one of my favorite aspects of G Willow Wilson's Ms. Marvel run. You would have never expected this type of character journey after reading the series' premiere issue. She could have easily been the background mean girl, but she became so much more.
3. Runaways #18 - The Leaders
Even though Nico is the reluctant leader, this is why she's the best!
2. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #5 - You’re So Vain You Probably Think This Song is About You
OMG MJ is literally singing a love song to Gwen! Latour slightly teased MJ's queerness, but Seanan McGuire is going all out. I'm really interested to see how Gwen will navigate her complicated feelings towards both her best friends, Harry and MJ.
1. Ms. Marvel #38 - We’re The Same But Different
G Willow Wilson throughout her run not only showed how much Kamala has grown as a character, but all her supporting characters. This scene was so special, and really showcased what I love about this book in a nutshell.
BRANT
5. Runaways #18 - So...
Love that Gert is seeing the value in Alex!
4. Avengers: No Road Home #1 - Mystery Unboxing
Love this nostalgia trip for Hawkeye, reminding me of one of my favorite Avengers stories, Galactic Storm!
I love it when books make fun of themselves, and this was classic!
2. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #5 - Pick Me, Pick Me...
I love the lyrics of this song, obviously as Gwen says, is all about her. Could be applied to any Spider character and their loved ones though!
1. Captain Marvel #2 - Frontline LIVE
Once again, we get that recognition! haha
CHRIS
5. God of War #4 - Who's Next!
4. Superman #8 - Mongul Down
3. Wonder Twins #1 - Wonder Twins Vs. Myx
2. The Flash #64 - Tell Batman
1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #91 - Beast Vs. Hothead
JAY
Honorable Mention: Winter Soldier #3 - How Has No One Killed You Yet?
5. Saban's Go Go Power Rangers #17 - #Zaddy
4. Avengers: No Road Home #1 - ...Or I'll Settle It...
3. Wonder Twins #1 - Oh My God That's Adorable!
2. Saban's Go Go Power Rangers #17 - Mystic Mother!
Again Ryan Parrott show how much of a Morphin Master he is! First, he brings Fienna to existence, then he makes her look like the Mystic Mother (Rita's fated role) and on top of it all, she is wearing the shield that will become the Green Rangers! This is just so many kinds of awesome, I can not wait to see the connection!
1. Saban's Go Go Power Rangers #17 - Friends Talk...
I LOVE Jason & Trini (Jini?) I love how awkward they are and how natural they are at the same time, then throw Kim in the scene and it becomes so funny. I also love how this scene is about Jason entering the Expo, which is where he and Tommy first meet, again Parrott for the Easter Egg win!
MIKE SPIDER-SLAYER
5. The Flash #64 - Crazy Claire
4. Avengers No Road Home #1 - Mystery Unboxing
Clint does a mystery unboxing for the readers and pulls out some classic gear!!
3. Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #5 - A Timeless Milkshake
2. Dead Man Logan #4 - I'm Not Mysterio
Mysterio posing as other characters had me laughing!!
1. Captain Marvel #2 - Frontline LIVE
Frontline Live makes an appearance in comics again!! We made it big!
