Barry Allen & Wally West Run Together Again!

DC Comics announces the new creative team for The Flash and they are bringing a fan-favorite member of the Flash Family with them…. Wally West!

As revealed yesterday in USA Today DC comics has teamed up writers Robert Venditti (Green Lantern, X-O Manowar) and Van Jensen (Green Lantern Corps) along with artist Brett Booth (Batman Superman) starting with The Flash #30, out April 23.

"From a very young age, one of the first things you want to be able to do is run fast. You don't want to fly you don't want to have a ring that makes constructs out of light. It's just a simple, basic thing: 'I want to be able to run fast.' It's ingrained in our DNA, and here's a character that lives that out."

The series will still star Barry Allen in the title role the team plan on bringing back fan favorite Wally West who was the original Kid Flash and the third man to bare the mantle of The Flash, a week later in The Flash Annual #3 a week later on April 30. 

While 2014 may be the 75th Anniversary of Batman, it appears to be the year of The Flash with the return of the fan favorite Wally West and The Flash getting his own TV series along with appearing in the up coming Direct To DVD Animated Movie Justice League War on sale February 4th on Blu-Ray and DVD.
