DC Comics recently announced the husband-and-wife creative team of David and Meredith Finch for Wonder Woman beginning with Issue #36 this November. The buzz for this team is already in full swing so fans have been hoping to hear more from DC at Comic-Con International: San Diego and DC didn't disappoint with a First Look at David Finch's art for their first issue.
The preview pages show the Sensational Amazon along with her Justice League teammates. But that isn't all because we also get to see Swamp Thing and Wonder Woman do battle in a beautiful 2-page spread. These first images seem to deliver on what the couple said they wanted to achieve for the book when they were named as the new creative team.
"While there's going to be some of what [Brian Azzarello has] created, because I'd be foolish not to take advantage of what he's got, we're definitely going to steer the book a little more into a more mainstream -- I guess I'd say there will be some superhero stuff in it,"
-Meredith Finch.
"The main theme we wanted to touch on is just Wonder Woman as a character and as a person. She has her personal life with Superman, and she has her professional life with the Justice League, and she also has to deal with the Amazons and the gods -- and all these things conflict with each other."
- David Finch
