The Li’l Depressed Boy (or, as his friends have called
him, LDB) has returned in a new series, The Li’l Depressed Boy: Supposed to Be
There Too. His creative team has returned as well. Shaun Steven Struble will
write the series and the artwork will be done by Sina Grace.
In this new series LDB is enjoying his new relationship
when he bumps into his former punkster girlfriend Jazz making his life much
more complicated. Struble spoke to USA
Today about his protagonist, saying that “LDB is conflicted about Jazz. She
broke his heart, but he doesn't think she did it on purpose. He now knows to
not let himself get too close to her, but she has a habit of appearing when
least expected.”
The
Li’l Depressed Boy: Supposed to Be There Too #1
comes out on October 1st, 2014 and can be purchased for $3.99. I’d love
for this to be a return to the same quirky style that reminded me of Scott Pilgrim as the early issues of The Li'l Depressed Boy did. In the meantime, check out the preview for The
Li’l Depressed Boy: Supposed to Be There Too #1 below.
