Midnight Tiger Takes To Kickstarter For Ongoing!

One of my favorite new characters of the past decade is returning with an ongoing series! Ever since Free Comic Book Day 2014, I have been praising Midnight Tiger! To me he is a mix between old school Spider-Man and Static Shock, but the series never made it past issue #2, making it just a 3 issue (#0-#2) mini series. But now the creator and Action Lab have taken to Kickstarter to bring this character to comic shops once again.

KEVIN EASTMAN AND ROBERT RODRIGUEZ COLLABORATE ON COVER OF DRAWING BLOOD COMIC BOOK

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Creator Kevin Eastman has collaborated with Maverick Filmmaker and El Rey Network Founder Robert Rodriguez on the cover of Drawing Blood, a totally fictional true story about the comic book industry. Ben Bishop created the layouts inspired by Rodriguez’ El Mariachi movie poster, Eastman penciled the work and Rodriguez is inking this cover. This marks the second comic book cover collaboration for Eastman and Rodriguez, whose first passion was drawing cartoons before he started focusing on filmmaking.

Gotham Academy - Friends Forever

As we go on, we remember, all the times we Had together, and as our lives change, come whatever, we will still be, friends forever. As I sat down to write this article on Gotham Academy that chorus from Vitamin C’s Graduation Song (Friends Forever) played in my head. Unlike when the first series ended, Gotham Academy: Second Semester has no announced successor, just a glimmer of hope that it will continue, much like how we feel at graduation. We don’t have reassurances that the friendships we made will continue as we head off into the real world, but we have that glimmer of hope in our yearbooks as friends sign it “Friends Forever” and other reassuring sentiments, but never really knowing if you will be, and that is the limbo that Gotham Academy fans are facing right now.
