Are You Ready For The Buffy Challenge?

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a show that was created by Joss Whedon (Firefly, Serenity, Avengers, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and lasted for 7 seasons from 1997-2003, creating a large loyal fanbase, The show also spawned a spin-off with Angel. But Buffy wasn't slayed after the show ended, no way! For 16 years Dark Horse has held the Buffy The Vampire Slayer license which started during the series run (with a 63 issues) and since 2007 has continued the show's cannon with Buffy The Vampire Slayer Seasons 8 (that Joss Wheadon himself picked up and wrote) and Season 9, with Season 10 launching today! Like the show, the Buffy comics have spawned a few comic book spin-offs including Angel & Faith in 2011 with 25 issues, and will be launching it's new season next month! 

Dark Horse Comics has thrown the scythe down and issued The Buffy Challenge! What is The Buffy Challenge? For those who choose to accept it The Buffy Challenge requires commitment and endurance! Dark Horse is asking for fans to fire up Netflix/Hulu Plus and watch all 7 seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (and all 5 seasons of Angel, if you're feeling it) Then read Buffy Season 8 & Buffy Season 9…And Angel & Faith Season 9 (90 comics in total) in preparation for SEASON 10! After you have absorbed everything Dark Horse is asking for an entire series catch up/recap 1-9, and provide a link while trying to be as spoiler free as possible.

That is a lot of watching and a lot of reading so for those who dare to accept this challenge Dark Horse is prepared to reward you with an equally big prize all 4 oversized hardcover library volumes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8! But best of all, you will be completely caught up and riding high as Season 10 launches!
