Damien Darhk, a villain (which I’m sure you never would have guessed given his oh-so-subtle name), will be seen for the first time in Arrow Season 4. He did make a couple of appearances towards the end of Arrow Season 3 but he was never shown on screen. Neal McDonough has been cast as Damien Darhk.
Neal
McDonough's recent shows include a starring role in TNT’s Mob City. He also had roles in FX’s Justified and USA Network’s Suits.
He is also no stranger to comic book adaptations. He played Dum Dum Dugan in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter and the Captain America movies. McDonough also voiced
Deadshot in Batman: Assault on Arkham
(and, fun fact, he voiced Bruce Banner in the decade old game The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction).
Arrow producers describe his McDonough’s
character Damien Darhk as “a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an
adversary of the late Ra’s Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine
group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest
challenges.” It’s interesting how he is in the Arrow TV show considering his comic book counterpart only appeared
in The Titans.
The fourth
season of Arrow will air on October 7th,
2015.
