Back in January during the Television Critics Association event The CW announced they would be expanding their shared universe in more than one way. They announced that the superhero Vixen will be joining the boy’s club in an animated series via The CW Seed , the network's online platform for original digital content. More recently they announced Vixen would be voiced by Megalyn Echikunwoke. Now at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2015 we were given the first trailer for the series that shows Vixen meeting The Flash, Arrow and Cisco -- all voiced by their live-action counterparts.
"Vixen's such a great character. First of all, she represents magic, which is an area that we haven't explored on either of the two shows just yet. One thing we're always saying is, "'Flash' is very different from 'Arrow,' 'Arrow' is very different from 'Flash.'" If 'Arrow' is crime and 'The Flash' is science, 'Vixen' has a big magic component."
- Marc Guggenheim, Executive Producer
Stephen Amell (Arrow/Oliver Queen), Grant Gustin (The Flash/Barry Allen), Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) will all appear on the series to voice their live-action characters. Vixen is scheduled to debut Aug. 25 on The CW Seed .
